The question that started Yumily
I wanted my children to eat better. But I soon realised that it wasn’t enough for food to be good for them — they also had to love eating it.
“Just one more bite.” “Try this.” “Maybe you’ll like it this time.”
And then came a simple realisation: maybe better food simply needed to taste better. That thought became the starting point for Yumily.
The first step wasn’t launching a brand. It was experimenting. Recipes were tried, changed, tasted and tried again. The goal was simple: create food children would ask for — while parents could feel comfortable serving it.
That meant looking at everyday favourites differently.
Slowly, an idea became a philosophy: don’t make better food taste like a compromise.
The name brings together two things at the heart of the brand. Because food at home isn’t just about what’s on the ingredient list. It’s about what happens around the table.
Yumily is about making those everyday moments a little more yummy.
We care about what goes into our food because we care about who eats it. But caring doesn’t mean making food serious, complicated or joyless. It means making thoughtful choices without forgetting the most important part — people have to love eating it.
